Sherri Madison Kolodny is a modern painter, born in Kalamazoo Michigan. Part of a military family, her nomadic upbringing exposed her to many cultures throughout the world, and she was able to study under many distinguished art teahers during her childhood. As part of earning a bachelor's degree in Fine Art from Pepperdine University, she studied overseas in Heidelberg, Germany, as well as in Florence, Italy. Her time in Florence at the Studio Art Center International inspired a change in her work, from a more traditional painting style to the "liquified" presentation that is a staple of her work today. Recently Madison has taken focus on fontography, the art of letters, influenced by her 20+ year print and online design career.
